We went off on another adventure this weekend. We loaded up and drove down to Colorado Springs and explored Garden of the Gods. It was STUNNING. I'd been before in 2000 when I came to Colorado with my family to visit my aunt, but I didn't remember a thing about it except that there was definitely at least one big red rock. Joshua and I had a wonderful time wondering around the Garden gawking. We hike around the main path, but saw that one of the paths led to a cool looking formation, so we broke from the herd and made our way to the path. Once we made it up the flight of "stairs" and around a bend we got a fabulous view of Pike's Peak. It was a wonderful day. And only one of these pictures was taken using a self timer and a fence post.

Our first adventure
We moved to Colorado back in March, and since then we've been busy on the hunt for jobs (which we have now!) and a place to live (we have one of those too!). So it was time we went out and saw the mountains up close. We drove from our apartment to Red Rocks Amphitheater first and it was the only place we took pictures. Oh well! Here are the few pictures I took at Red Rocks, and a few I had taken of us. Thanks lady at the ampitheater!
After we left Red Rocks, we still had enough time to make the short drive to Idaho Springs. It's an adorable tiny town with a population of less than 2000. I was so caught up in how cute the town was I completely forgot to take any pictures. Next time!
For now, we're recovering from this past weekend's snow storm.
